How To Figure Out What You Truly Want In Life

You’re in your mid 30s or 40s, you’ve worked hard, you’ve achieved great things in your career and life. You feel like you should feel successful, but instead you feel something is missing.

You feel disconnected and undervalued at work or maybe your love life isn’t where you imagined it would be, or perhaps something has occurred in your life that’s making you sit up and assess what you’re doing with your life?

Is it time for change?

Is it time to change tactics and live life differently?

What did you dream your life would be like? What did you see yourself doing? How did you feel? What did your relationships look like? Where did you see yourself living?

Is that where you are now, are you living the dream?

If you have achieved everything you set out to achieve, yet you feel something is missing, let me ask you this - the goals and dreams you had, were they really your dreams and goals or did you inherit them from a family member, culture or somewhere else?

It is so easy to get swept up into other people’s vision of a successful life. “Do well at school, get a good job (in some cultures your good job is shortlisted to a doctor, a lawyer or an accountant, imagine the disappointment if you chose another path), get married, buy a house, have a family.” Some people might be happy to live this dream, but if you’re not, or you’re unhappy with where you find yourself, then it’s time for change.

It’s time to figure out what you truly want in life. To do that, you need to uncover the true you.

Are You Ready For Change?

Change can be scary and overwhelming. When you’re thinking about reinventing yourself or making any form of major change, you might be wondering, where do I even begin? How do I know what’s right for me? What if I choose the wrong direction?
